Never could I have imagined that our Smitty Bilt winch was so powerful. Sure, it has helped us lug logs, and glide through meter deep water. It has pulled us up slippery slopes, and eased us down the same. But dragging our jeep through over a foot deep worth of mud really amazed me. This stretch of "road" during the dry season is still over 200 meters of soft sticky mud settled between the roots of enormous trees and tufts of meter high grass. It was almost 2 feet deep in places! In the wet season it is a marsh, and quite dangerous if you were to get stuck then just kept sinking in.
It took us 2 full days to drive our beloved Jeep "La Cabrita" (The Little Goat) from Miguel de la Borda to Camaroncito. In this series of videos we will share a few of the highlights of this incredible adventure through breathtaking landscape and backbreaking obstacles.
